Can you program a key fob I bought online?
In many cases, yes. If you've purchased a compatible key fob, we can program it to your vehicle. We recommend calling us first to verify compatibility.
Broken Key
Can you extract a key without damaging the lock?
Yes. Our technicians use specialized extraction tools designed to remove broken key fragments without causing additional damage to the lock or ignition cylinder.
Can you make a new key after extracting the broken one?
Absolutely. We carry key cutting equipment in our mobile unit and can cut a new replacement key on-site immediately after extraction.
Ignition Repair
How do I know if my ignition needs repair?
Common signs include difficulty turning the key, the key getting stuck, the engine not starting even when the key turns, or the key not coming out of the ignition. If you're experiencing any of these, call us for a diagnosis.
Can you repair the ignition or does it need to be replaced?
Many ignition issues can be repaired by replacing worn wafers or fixing the switch mechanism. We always try repair first to save you money. If replacement is needed, we'll explain why before proceeding.
Will I need new keys after ignition repair?
Not always. If we can repair the existing cylinder, your current keys will continue to work. If the cylinder needs replacement, we'll cut new keys that match your door locks.
Lock Rekey
What's the difference between rekeying and replacing locks?
Rekeying changes the internal pins so old keys no longer work, while keeping the existing lock hardware. It's faster and more affordable than full lock replacement while providing the same security.
How many new keys do I get with a rekey?
We typically provide two new keys with a standard rekey service. Additional keys can be cut at the same time for a small fee.
